Food and Wine Fest Recap Part One

It’s been over a week since I’ve gotten home from our vacation in Walt Disney World, but I’m finally getting around to posting up my food pictures. (Give me a break, walking around 10 miles a day 6 days in a row is a tad exhausting.) We ate a lot, and drank a bit, so I’m going to split these into a few posts, starting with some of our selections at Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival. What Will I Drink at Disney’s Food and Wine Festival?

So, I wrote about what I plan on eating at the Food and Wine Fest in Epcot — but what am I going to drink? There are lots of fun cocktails, some beers, and of course wine. But while I can stuff myself to bursting with food, it gets a little trickier with alcohol, for reasons I feel should be obvious. I can only have so many drinks over a handful of days: so what will I try?

Brewer’s Collection Shöfferhofer Zitrone Weizen-Mix. Last year I tried and loved the Grapefruit version of this.

Farm Fresh’s Hard Cider Flight. I love hard cider, and this includes some interesting flavors I’ve never tried before, like Elderberry. Ooh.

France’s Ice Pop Pomme. This looks like a vibrantly green push-up pop–except, you know, alcoholic.

Scotland’s Citrus Thistle. A gin drink. I’ll need something to wash down the haggis, right?

Sustainable Chew’s Frozen Chew-tini. The name makes me think of something more solid than a drink. But it’s been given high marks by every Disney food blogger I’ve seen, so I might have to try it.

bonus: Grey Goose Slush in the France pavilion, margarita at La Cava del Tequila, and something at Trader Sam’s in the Polynesian. I’ve heard great things about all these things, yet I’ve never tried them. (To be fair, I tried a frozen kiosk drink in Epcot once and I hated it, and Trader Sam’s didn’t exist until this year.)  If I can squeeze it in, and the lines aren’t too long (and I haven’t had too many drinks) I’ll partake in these, too.

Once again, here’s the list on Disney Food Blog. What looks refreshing to you?

Disney Trip Creeping Up — What Will I Eat At Food & Wine Fest?

Our Disney World trip is just around 3 weeks away! While I’m excited for every part of it (I can’t wait to wander through Animal Kingdom again) the big reason for the timing of this trip is Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival.

There are a handful of things I know I want because I tried them last year, or because they sound so interesting. As more reviews and pictures have come out, though, the list of things I  want to try has been steadily expanding. Here are some foods that I will definitely be eating while at the festival (I may do another list of drinks I want to have, too). And go to the Disney Food Blog to see what’s on offer yourself! Remembering Our 2014 Disney Trip…in Epcot

This year my husband and I are planning another trip to Walt Disney World. We could go any time, really, but we decided to once again go in October/November so we can enjoy the Epcot International Food and Wine Fest. We went last year, and though I didn’t take pictures of EVERYTHING we ate, I took some easy ones when we were sitting around. Continue reading “Remembering Our 2014 Disney Trip…in Epcot”
